About IVITA Learning

Annie Weir, MA (Education), FITOL

My background and qualifications

After 25 years’ experience in teaching and training adults at work, I started IVITA Learning in early 2004 and have steadily built a reputation for offering affordable quality training and assessment in the North West and North East of England.

I am committed to the principles of lifelong learning having completed my MA (Education), and Diplomas in Life Coaching and Performance Coaching.

I’m always studying something – I completed my MA in Creative Writing with University of Cumbria – check out my debut novel  Judith wants to be your friend

Oh yes, and I’ve recently completed a course on getting my face-to-face courses online. I am calling this new venture IVITA Learning Online

Examples of clients I work with:

  • Cumbria Chamber of Commerce. I work on two of their business start-up support programmes.

  • Appleby Heritage Centre to accredit my TAQA and AET courses.

  • The voluntary sector I have strong connections with the voluntary sector occasionally running bespoke training sessions for their member organisations.

  • The care sector – I have strong associations with the care sector training many assessors (TAQA), internal quality assurers (TAQA) and trainers (Award in Education and Training).

  • Small-business owners – many of my students wish to teach their skills to others and gain the Award in Education and Training either as part of a taught class or online.

I have been supported throughout my time running IVITA Learning by Rachel Swinscoe who has a sound background in management and in learning and development – and she is a very nice lady too. Thank you, Rachel.
