TAQA Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualifications

IVITA Learning cannot give you your years of experience, but we can train, support and assess you in order to achieve the IQA award most appropriate to you. In addition to the training, you will receive a portfolio designed to help you structure your evidence, and on-going e-mail support throughout.

I usually offer these qualifications on a 1:1 basis or with a group of aspiring IQAs from the same organisation.

For the first Unit 401 – Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment, flexibility is key as it is purely a knowledge-based unit with no requirement for you being observed carrying out assessments.

·         you can come to me for training

·         I can come to your workplace (which may incur additional costs for my travel time and expenses)

·         I am currently working on getting the first Unit 401 online as well

HOWEVER, there are some things that need to be in place for when you move on to the other unit.

Unit 402 – Internally quality assure the quality of assessment is for those who will be quality assuring of assessors – that can be in the workplace or in a training centre.

  • You need to be occupationally competent in the area you intend to IQA

  • You need to have at least two assessors you can work with and I need to be able to observe you quality assuring the work of them both

  • They need to be quality assured against agreed processes and practices, whether they are for a qualification or for in-house work processes

  • Your IQA decisions will need to be counter-signed by a qualified IQA until you are qualified

The following explains how combinations of these Units make up the qualifications.
But everyone does Unit 401.
