Write and record your first online course

What worries you about getting your teaching online?

  • Maybe your experience of online learning in the past is that it was dry and boring?

NOT ANY MORE!

This 7-step course will show you how to use a variety of methods to engage your students – from before they start their learning to celebrating their success at the end.

Maybe you’re unsure of the ‘techy’ side of it – how to structure, write, record and store your videos and audio, and develop your handouts for your learners to download.

We’ll cover that too.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Have had the opportunity to get your course planned, written and recorded – and ready to upload to your course host

  • Know your course content is engaging, useful and enjoyable for your students

  • Know what ‘kit’ you need for recording and storing your videos and audios

  • Be ready to plan your launch and get your course out there

It will give you the confidence to get going with your new online training business. You will work through the lessons, carrying out each step as you go along, gradually building up to you having your course planned, written and recorded – and ready to upload to your course host.

The lesson titles are:

  • Establishing your niche – yes, you do need one

  • Sorting out your subject matter

  • Identifying the end point – to make sure you get there

  • Structuring the variety of content for your course

  • Engaging your students

  • Making your teaching resources really engaging

  • Bringing the tech stuff together
